As expected at Shadow Falls High, freshman student Enya Hathway had her nose buried in a mountain of books in the library. However, today, she was reading to distract herself from her silently enduring anguish. Outside her friends group, others didn't know she had a myriad of mental illnesses. One of the worst was she felt highly depressed right now. She'd attempted talking to her psychiatrist a few days ago concerning how she felt with no success. She had requested a meds change, and the doctor just told her to change her mindset and make a friend. It infuriated both her and her mother that the psychiatrist would be so dismissive. Particularly when Enya told her that she'd been waking up crying for weeks or how far down in the hole she was. Enya wondered why no one listened to individuals in crisis—or just listened in general, to be honest. She loathed the generalized statements therapists seemed to make or failed to realize their clients weren't all cut from the same cloth. Enya
In the student lounge at Dawn Mist High, the gorgeous Caramel Wilder was working on updating the school and her blog. She was stunning, and her skin tone was the reason for her name. She also possessed captivating tattoos on her body. She may've been sixteen, but since her parents operated a tattoo parlor, her father had given his permission as long as she didn't overdo it or request something inappropriate. Her mother had been less keen on the idea since their daughter wasn't an adult yet. However, it was her mother's job to assist in designing unique tattoos for everyone in the shop. So they'd reached a compromise of allowing three tattoos now where she could conceal them. Caramel brushed a strand of dark brown hair out of her face before employing Grammarly to spellcheck her blog. She'd finished updating the school blog and was now working on her own. She then heard a pretty voice say, “Hi, Caramel. Is this a bad time to join you?” Caramel looked up and saw her best friend
It was drizzling as three college educators from Dawn Mist University got together for their weekly coffee date at Brooke's Brew coffee shop. It was a quaint little coffee shop, and it served some damn good coffee. The first to arrive was Zia Angelo, who taught philosophy at the local educational institution. She was particularly attractive with her short caramel hair in a pixie cut and her captivating hazel eyes. She wore a stylish beige top and pants, showing off her gorgeous tattoos. She quickly uncovered a large enough table for her associates to sit with her when they arrived. Her fellow professors, Fawn Sexton and Sequoia Bastion, came shortly after. Each of her fellow teachers was quite attractive. Fawn had light black skin, adorable brown eyes, and dyed copper hair in an Afro. She was wearing a remarkably stylish dark green jumpsuit. She was the music teacher/ fashion design teacher who believed it was essential to look your best. As for Sequoia? She had fair skin and

Shadow Falls: Judy Larson
Judy Larson is the deuteragonist in my original story, Shadow Falls. She's the long-time best friend of the story's protagonist, Candy Warren. She was born to Cornelius and Delilah Larson on April 9th, 2006. It's been stated that she resembles her father with the same auburn hair and hazel eyes. Her brother also looks like their father, with only slightly darker eyes. However, her 'mother' Delilah walked out on her family shortly after the birth of Judy's little brother Riley. Based on the vague memories Judy has of Delilah, she was a callous and abusive mother who cared more about herself and money than her family. Yet it still took Judy and her little brother years to come to terms with the fact they never had a mom, to begin with. Furthermore, for them to accept, it wasn't their fault that she left. That their father was their actual family and was there for them. Both Judy and her brother are well known for their passion for science. Judy wanted to become an entomologist or

Ch. 23 Happy Birthday, Candy!
Candy had mixed emotions as her seventeenth birthday loomed. Long ago, they planned it at Midnight Zero with Selena, so that was fine. The issue she was dealing with was precisely a week after her birthday, the first anniversary of her mother's death would come to pass. Even though everyone was elated that Reggie and Alicia had been caught and sentenced for the crimes, it still didn't change the fact her mother wasn't there. She'd been working hard with her therapist to deal with these emotions. Regardless, her mother wasn't going to be there. Last year's gift of the family heirlooms was the last gift she'd ever receive from her mother. She also felt horrible that her mother wasn't there to make her favorite chocolate strawberry cheesecake for her birthday like she'd done every year. Her soon-to-be aunt, Ms. Hollens, had promised to make it, which Candy appreciated. But she knew it wouldn't be the same as her mother making it. Yet Candy attempted to focus on the fact that they'd
Welcome to the end of Shadow Falls. I'll be sure to write a follow-up to this story someday. But when that will be, I don't know. But I hope everyone who read this story this year has enjoyed it as much as I've enjoyed writing it! Have a nice day! The double wedding of Ryan Warren and Cory Larson to their beautiful brides was the most magical event since Selene and Miles's wedding. Everyone who had helped assemble Miles and Selene's wedding somehow helped with the double wedding. All the teens and college students were members of the wedding party. They'd even donated their time and energy to make this a memorable day. They didn't have a solid theme, so it was a mixed theme for all four of their dream weddings. The wedding party themselves had decided what to wear and what colors. So, while it may have been a mishmash, it was still one unique wedding no one would ever forget. Candy and Judy gave outstanding speeches to welcome their new female family members. They also set aside a
The following week, after Alicia and her father had been sentenced to life in prison, Selena and Miles worked with the other adults to decorate Midnight Zero for Alternative Prom Night. Since multiple schools in the USA prohibited allowing members of the LGBTQ community to come as they are, whether that be a single or a couple, Midnight Zero was handling it. Not that Shadow Falls High was like that. However, everyone felt generally more comfortable at Midnight Zero. Also, the local university students were welcome to attend, not just the high school ones. Selena had taken a break for a moment to check on hers and Miles's new daughter, Aru. She found her gorgeous little girl sleeping peacefully in the break room. “Aren't you the sweetest little girl?” she cooed. “I believe all children are precious and should be given the same amount of love and respect,” came a voice from the doorway. Selena spun around and saw it was only her friend, Dean Marilyn Parson. “Hello, Marilyn. How

Shadow Falls: Candy Warren
I still have three chapters left for my original story, Shadow Falls. But I really wanted to start writing a small side story that explains the characters. So, there are a few slight spoilers for the last three chapters I've yet to write. I still hope to get it done by the end of the year since, again, there are only three chapters left. So enjoy these characters' stories. __________________________________________________________________________________ Candy Warren is the main protagonist of my original story, Shadow Falls. She was born on April 21, 2006, to her mother, Felicity Warren. Felicity was asexual, so she had her daughter via a sperm donor. It's been stated often that Candy resembles her mother, particularly inheriting her startling green eyes. Candy got her name from her mother's sweet tooth. So her name really is just Candy, and not Candice, like some people assume. Her only other blood family is her mother's younger brother Ryan, who acts more like a father figure
Three and half weeks after Alicia Silver nearly slaughtered her mother and Candy, the DA had indited Alicia and her father, Reggie, on multiple charges each. Also, even though Alicia was only seventeen, she was to be tried as an adult due to the magnitude of her crimes. Most of Shadow Falls had shown up for the trials. For both cases, DA Cora Pryde would be the prosecutor. Alicia's attorney was a young, attractive Puerto Rican named Rafael Cruz. Reggie's solicitor was Andrew Dye. Everyone involved, from the jury to those who'd give testimony, had undergone a brief psychological examination by the court psychologist Monica Romney. Shadow Falls had added the psychological assessment to ensure minors understood what was expected and their rights. The jury members selected also had to undergo it to ensure they could deliberate lawfully and unbiasedly and understood what was expected of them. That's why it took practically a month for everyone to be evaluated and passed to proceed
